In 2019 on seeing the efforts of the diligent and ever loving Umu nwoke ABBA I felt a spiritual calling of
how to support and assist our husbands in reaching out to the less privileged women and Children in
our communities, this is a trait learned from observing our husbands over the years building the ABBA
AMA ANO we all see today.
ABBA WOMEN OF EXCELLENCE was formed and registered as an NGO with the sole aim of alleviating
poverty as much as we could in our communities maka onye rie ma nwanne ya eburu ònu, onye ahu ori
na na?
Since inception we’ve been reaching out to those we could, within our limited resources but I believe
with your assistance today, the story has changed thanks also for the presence of our First Lady
because, community building is a collective collaboration between the government and the governed.
ABBA Women of Excellence is an NGO comprising of 45 Excellent members today, that work to
promote the image of “The Woman” as a Wife, Daughter, Mother and Career Home-Maker across our
respective homes, communities.
The focus is particularly on full advancement of women and The girl child development, through
encouragement of self-actualisation as well as changing the narrative as per societal mindset, in fact
we’re saying Nwanyi wù ihe.
We envision a society where Women are seen as creatures of excellence devoid of stereotypes,
encouraged to maximise and fulfil their potentials in so doing, carve out a better future for our children
and the larger society .
Our mission is to organise seminars, workshops, conferences to educate and inform women on how to
be more productive in the society.
We aim to campaign with all genders of like-minds towards ensuring positive changes from grassroots
that will culminate in practical solutions to issues challenging our common interests.
